When to replace photocell in Firebird oil boiler?
The small test hole drilled in the metal flue was taped up with aluminium sticky tape. But this should only be done after the flue has cooled to avoid burns. The photocell needed to be replaced also as part of the service.

How old is my Firebird Enviromax C26 filter?
I have a FIREBIRD ENVIROMAX C26 which is 6 years old. I was getting it serviced every year with local plumber until july 2011. He immigrated to oz. Its burns kerosene and i have 2 filter installed in system which were changed yearly. I get the fuel from same branded company and dont mind the price. Last July I got a new enginner to service it.

How old is a Firebird popular 90 boiler?
I have added these below. My particular boiler is a 14 year old oil fueled Firebird popular 90 type. During the summer the flue cover blew off the chimney and I had to secure it with stays. As a result during the service, water (and one snail!) was discovered inside the firebox. This is not a good way to prolong the life of your boiler.
